The University of Texas at Arlington has a business-based graduate real estate program. The Dallas Fort-Worth (DFW) metropolitan area is a premier location for real estate finance, investment, and development activity. Many of our graduate students are currently working in this environment (or will be soon). We also have a contingent of students from across the country and from around the world who have selected UTA and the DFW Metroplex to pursue graduate educations and careers in real estate.

Most real estate classes are offered on Saturday for the convenience of our students working in the Dallas and Fort-Worth area. The Saturday schedule is also a benefit to our students commuting from as far as Austin, Houston, and Oklahoma City.

The graduate real estate program consists of three components. Please click on the links below to download pdfs with additional program information and class schedules.

  • Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) - a 36-credit hour (12 courses) flagship degree with 9 of 12 courses in real estate. Admissions to this program is on a rolling basis (Fall, Spring, or Summer).
  • Certificate in Real Estate Development - a 15-credit hour program (5 specific real estate courses) for non-degree seeking graduate students. Note, current Certificate students may apply to the MSRE at anytime. If accepted, Certificate courses can transfer to the MSRE. Admissions to the Certificate program is Summer only (with a hard deadline, for complete applications, of April 15th).
  • MBA concentration or electives - many MBA students take graduate real estate courses as electives or as their MBA concentration. MBA student who complete the 5 "Certificate" courses are eligible to receive the Certification in Real Estate Development credential in addition to the MBA. Also, check out the MBA / MSRE dual degree option.
