Associate Professor

Professor Iyers' most recent activities have included the developement of a comprehensive decision support system for International Direct Investment Planning, which led to corporate decisions to invest and locate in several locations world wide.

He has developed long range planning systems that led to the line managers' participation in, ownership of, and commitment to the firm's strategic plans.

Established decision support systems and processes for action-oriented competitive strategy evaluations that led to the realignment of short term tactics and the repositioning of long term strategies. Investigated potential domestic and international investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and licensing arrangements, and made recommendations on capital, purchase price, and strategic appropriateness and feasibility.

Professor Iyer has been at UTA since 1984 as an associate professor. He has not only the academic knowledge, but has the real life applicaitons from working as Director of Strategic Planning, Systems Analyst, and Economist/Corporate Planner a ONAN Corporation (1973-1984).

Professor Iyer has many articles to his record that have been published in various academic journals. Not only does professor Iyer have published articles but also articles published in the book, Economics of Advanced Production and Manufacturing Systems. Reports for industry and government facilities have also been added to professor Iyer's repertoire.
