MBA with Specialization in Economics

MBA with specialization in Economics program is designed to prepare students for careers in the private and government sectors that require solid analytical and quantitative skills. The program provides the skills and knowledge required by a broad spectrum of private and government entities from people who are joining the labor market for the first time or want to move up in their organization. 

The program teaches marketable skills for employment in business or government. The program consists of a solid analytical core in economics and quantitative methods, supplemented with courses in special fields. Potential specialization areas currently emphasized are forecasting/quantitative techniques, international business economics and applied financial economics. 

Career Options

Financial analyst, credit research officer, business and economic forecaster, forensic economist, litigation support, market research consultant, pricing analyst, economic research analyst.

 

Your specialization requires 9-18 credit hours of economics coursework. Also, you require 18 hours of advanced course work outside your specialty which can be selected from any graduate business courses. You may choose your electives from the following list:
