General Admission
Requirements
All
applicants must have a 4-year bachelor's degree from a regionally
accredited college or university (or foreign equivalent).
Admissions decisions are made on the basis of a number of
factors including, GMAT score, undergraduate GPA, work experience,
and the completion of the general admission
requirements
of the Graduate School. We also consider essays and letters of
recommendation. All applicants are encouraged to submit with
their application a resume that highlights professional and personal
accomplishments, linguistic abilities, computer expertise and
leadership experience. Most
UTA Graduate Business programs require a score on the Graduate
Management Admission Test (GMAT). The
GMAT is required of all applicants to the
Flexible MBA, Accelerated (Cohort) and the Online MBA.
The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is a
computer-adaptive test (CAT) which measures general verbal,
mathematical and analytical writing skills.
This computer-based standardized test serves as a uniform
standard of measurement for applicants. It is non-business specific
and tests one's general verbal, mathematical and analytical writing
skills. The GMAT is given entirely in English, and all instructions
are provided in English.

In
addition to the GMAT exam, if your native language is not English,
you must also submit an acceptable TOEFL score. An acceptable IELTS
score may be used in lieu of the TOEFL. The TOEFL (IELTS)
requirement is waived for students who have earned a bachelor's
degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university.
Because requirements may vary from program to program, you will want
to refer to the current graduate catalog to
review requirements for specific to each program.
Applications
are accepted and decisions made on a rolling basis.
An application will be reviewed for admission when all of the
required materials are received. Application materials may be sent
to the UT Arlington Graduate School as they are completed. You are encouraged
to submit your application and application fee first. While it is not necessary to collect all materials to send as
a single package, you will want to submit all required documents by
the published admissions deadline to ensure that your application is
processed for your desired semester of enrollment. We can NOT
guarantee that applications and supporting documents received after
the admissions deadline will be processed.
Within four weeks of the
receipt of your completed application and application fee,
you will be notified and provided information so that you can
monitor the status of your application
via the
Graduate School’s website.
