The College of Business Administration (COBA) has offered the Ph.D. degree for more than 20 years and has graduated over 200 doctoral students.  The College offers high-quality, academically rigorous doctoral programs that prepare students to conduct relevant research on a wide variety of business issues.  All COBA programs, including the Ph.D. programs, are fully accredited by AACSB, which ensures high academic standards.  UTA is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as “Doctoral/Research University—Extensive,” the highest level for a research university.  Most COBA  faculty members are active researchers, and many are internationally recognized for their scholarly achievements.

UT Arlington is an excellent place to pursue your business Ph.D. degree.  The University’s enrollment of 26,000 includes over 5,000 business students with around 80 business Ph.D. students.  Arlington is located in the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.  The DFW area has a population of around 5 million and is home to many Fortune 500 company headquarters. This fertile business environment provides many opportunities to work closely with companies on important business problems and research topics.
