AITP

Accounting Society
This is a
professional organization developed for students with an interest in the
study and practice of accounting. Membership is open to any
UTA accounting student. The mission of
is to foster permanent relationships between UTA's accounting students
and the professional accounting community. Other membership benefits are
scholarships for accounting students and professional programs for
continued learning.

Business Continuancy Council
BCC is an
Umbrella organization that represents all college of Business student
organizations and functions as the student's voice in expressing
concerns to the Dean of Business. The BCC also serves as a communication
channel for the Dean to reach all Business majors. Its members are
officers of various business student organizations. The BCC meets twice
a month during the academic year to help coordinate College-wide student
enrichment programs such as Business Week and the Execution on Campus
program.

Beta Alpha Psi

This is a
national scholastic and professional fraternity for financial
information professionals. An active and vibrant organization, the Gamma
Phi Chapter offers a full state of activities including office visits to
area firms, service to Habitat for Humanity and the American Heart Walk,
and tutorial help to UTA students

Beta Gamma Sigma
It
is a national honor society for accredited collegiate schools of
business, similar to Phi Beta Kappa in the arts and Sigma Xi in the
sciences. Active chapter members are elected on the basis of their
academic performance. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest
national scholastic honor that a student in a school of business or
management can achieve. It also carries a lifetime affiliation with
other outstanding graduates of business programs.

Finance
Society is comprised of students having a common interest in pursuing a
career in finance. All majors are welcome. Finance Society is a local
chapter of the Financial Management Association, which has over 350
student chapters around the world. The UTA chapter has been ranked in
the top ten for the last ten years. The primary goal of the Finance
Society is to increase the value of your academic experience, enhance
your job opportunities, and have fun along the way.

Omicron Delta
Epsilon (Inactive

The
international honor society in economics, Omicron Delta Epsilon, one of
the largest academic honor societies, was established in 1963. It became
an international honor society in economics in 1969, with 566 chapters
located in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom,
Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Egypt and France. Omicron Delta
Epsilon is an honor society for men and women with outstanding
achievement in economics.

Pi Sigma Epsilon
PSE is the
only national, professional, coeducational fraternity in marketing,
sales management, and selling. PSE was found in 1952 to promote careers
in the fields of marketing and sales. Pi Sigma Epsilon offers practical
experiance to members thriugh active involvement in sales and marketing
projects, professional programs, community service work, social events,
and general chapter operation. Over 45,000 active and alumini members of
PSE provide a rich network of opportunities and knowledge about what it
takes to succeed in today's business environment.

Society of Graduate Business Students
The
Society of Graduate Business Students (SGBS) was established to improve
the quality of the post-graduate business student's life at the
University of Texas at Arlington. SGBS is open to all
students currently enrolled in any graduate program at the University of
Texas at Arlington's College of Business Administration. SGBS offers
ways for students and faculty to meet outside of the classroom.
We have given support to charitable causes. We have brought
problems to the attention of UTA and COBA administration. We have
given out free drinks to students. We annually manage the Gold
Chalk Award given to the best CoBA faculty member as determined by a
vote of the student body. SGBS is what its members make it.

Society of Human Resource Managment

SHRM
provides an opportunity to meet and associate with human
resourceprofessionals, faculty, and students involved in the field of
human resource management. Activities include visits by guest speakers
from the human resource management. Activities include visits by guest
speakers from the human resource professional community, social
activities, interaction with the Mid-Cities Human Resource Association,
opportunities for sponsorships to the HR Southwest Human Resources
Conference and Exposition, and utilization of the many resources
available through the national asssociation. The national SHRM provides
education and information services, conferences and seminars, government
and media representation, online services and publications to more than
120,000 professional an student members throught the world.
